April 26: What do we do with tomorrow?

Welcome to St Mark’s Home Church, wherever you are in the world! As you scroll down you can follow the form of the service at your own pace with space for interaction, Bible readings, song and prayer as you feel led.

If you’re doing this with your family, you can head over here to access additional content for kid’s church today.

Interview: Suraj

For those hoping to drop off food such as lentils, rice, veggies, etc., or shopping vouchers, Suraj will be at St Mark’s on Wednesdays between 1-2pm.

Reading: Matthew 6:25-34

Worship

Feel free to sing your own songs, or you can find more songs on our slowly growing worship playlist.

Message

In the talk there will be moments to pause for discussion or reflection. If you are alone, you can grab a journal to write your reflections, or just reflect quietly. Online groups and households can pause the video for discussion and go along at your own pace.

Prayers

We invite you to take some time to pray with your household, in silence, or journal your own prayers.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial,
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.

Giving

Thank you so much to everyone who has been giving to support our ministry via bank transfer – it is so appreciated.

Here is an update from our treasurer David, and an introduction to a new way that you can also give to support St Mark’s, our youth ministry, and the missionaries we support.

Community

Our high school youth group has had a name change… Crosswired is now Voyage! The leaders are getting ready for an action packed term of youth Alpha online, plus the usual fun and games. If you’re interested in joining us, get in touch with Stuart.

We are also going to kick off Alpha online for adults on Wednesday 6th May at 7:30pm, with the Taste of Alpha. We normally put on a great meal, but for Alpha online we invite you to grab a snack and a beverage, and you can give it a try to see if you’re interested in doing more.

If you’re interested in joining us, email Gayle by Tuesday 28th April.

Our next Facebook live session is going to be a live Q&A panel on Sunday 3rd May at 7:30pm. If you have any questions about life, the Christian faith, or the Bible, email them (as a video or written) to the panel at homechurch@laurenipsum.co.

Thank you!

We leave you with words from 1 Peter: 5-6,

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

See you online next week!
